Terms & Conditions

Welcome to our website. By booking a complimentary trial session, a one-off workshop, a casual Tai Chi session, or a 10-Class Pack, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of service. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties unless otherwise agreed in writing. These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

1. Services Provided

  • Purpose: Radiant Studios provides mobile Tai Chi instruction and wellness sessions designed primarily for older adults, retirement villages and community groups.

  • Session Duration: Sessions are 45 minutes in duration.

2. Health, Safety, and Medical Disclaimer

  • General Education Only: All instruction, movements, and information provided during Radiant Studios’ sessions or on this website are intended for general fitness and educational purposes only. They are not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

  • First Aid and Liability: Radiant Studios’ instructors hold current Senior First Aid qualifications and maintain appropriate Public Liability Insurance for the services provided.

  • Participant Responsibility: Tai Chi is a low-impact exercise, but any physical activity carries an inherent risk of injury. Radiant Studios strongly recommends that all participants consult a qualified healthcare provider or General Practitioner (GP) before starting any new exercise program. Participants are responsible for exercising within their own physical capabilities and should modify or cease movements whenever they feel uncomfortable. Participants experiencing pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or any other concerning symptoms should stop exercising immediately and seek appropriate medical advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Radiant Studios is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from participation except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

  • Participant Conduct: Radiant Studios and its Instructors reserve the right to end or refuse participation where a participant’s behaviour presents a safety risk to themselves, other participants, or the Instructor.

  • Participant Clothing and Footwear: Participants should wear comfortable clothing that allows for gentle movement and closed-toe, flat-soled footwear suitable for light exercise. Participants are responsible for ensuring their clothing and footwear are appropriate for safe participation.

3. Venue Requirements and Safety

  • Supervision Limits: To maintain strict safety standards and proper participant supervision, class sizes are capped at a maximum of 20 participants per instructor. Where participant numbers exceed the maximum ratio of 25 participants per instructor, Radiant Studios reserves the right to require additional instructors. Any additional instructor(s) required will incur an additional fee, which will be discussed with and approved by the client prior to the session wherever reasonably practicable. The client agrees to provide an estimated participant number at the time of booking and to notify Radiant Studios as soon as reasonably practicable if attendance is expected to increase significantly.

  • Space: The booking venue (e.g., retirement village, community hub) must provide a clean, safe, open, and flat indoor or outdoor area. Participants must have enough space to extend their arms fully without obstruction.

  • Seated Options: If participants wish to utilize chair-based practice, the venue is responsible for providing standard, sturdy, and stable chairs.

  • Contact Person: The client is responsible for ensuring an authorised representative is available at the venue at the commencement of each session to provide access and communicate any relevant participant or venue information.

4. Booking, Postponement, and Cancellations

  • Individual Session Rescheduling: Radiant Studios requires at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule a single session. Where sufficient notice is provided, the session may be rescheduled to another available date within the same calendar month, subject to instructor availability. Individual sessions cancelled or requested for rescheduling within 48 hours of the scheduled service are forfeited if booked as part of a prepaid 10-Class Pack or remain payable in full if booked as a casual session or workshop.

  • Program Changes (Pay-As-You-Go): For ongoing weekly or fortnightly calendar programs billed on a casual basis, there are no long-term locked contracts. If you ever need to permanently adjust your regular schedule, pause sessions for a village holiday, or conclude the program, Radiant Studios simply asks for 7 days' notice so we can open that time slot up to other villages on our waiting list.

  • 10-Class Packs: Multi-session packages (e.g., 10-Class Packs) are paid upfront, are non-refundable, and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Unused sessions within a 10-Class Pack cannot be refunded, exchanged for cash, or transferred to another client or location. Individual sessions within a 10-Class Pack remain subject to our standard 48-hour rescheduling policy.

  • Weather Policy: For sessions scheduled outdoors, the venue must provide a suitable indoor backup space (such as a community hall or lounge) so the session can proceed in the event of wet weather. If extreme weather entirely prevents safe travel or facility access, the venue must notify Radiant Studios by 7:30 AM on the morning of the session to receive a complimentary booking credit toward a future date.

  • Unforeseen Circumstances: Radiant Studios will not be liable for any failure or delay in providing services where such failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, illness, injury, vehicle breakdown, government restrictions or venue closures. Where reasonably practicable, affected sessions will be rescheduled by mutual agreement.

  • Instructor Cancellations: In the unlikely event Radiant Studios needs to cancel a session, Radiant Studios will provide as much notice as reasonably practicable and will work with the client to reschedule the session at no additional cost.

5. Invoicing and Payment Terms

  • Single Sessions (Casual Sessions & Workshops): Invoices for all single-session bookings (including standalone workshops, special events, and individually booked sessions) are issued electronically via Stripe after service delivery and carry strict 14-day payment terms from the date of issue.

  • 10-Class Packs: 10-Class Packs must be purchased and settled in full upfront before the commencement of the first official program session.

  • Late Payments: Radiant Studios reserves the right to suspend future bookings and/or scheduled services for any village or facility with an outstanding or overdue invoice until the account balance is fully cleared.

  • Pricing: Prices are subject to change at any time. Existing confirmed bookings will be honoured at the price agreed at the time of booking.

6. Complimentary Trial Policy
Radiant Studios’ complimentary trial session is offered in good faith exclusively to retirement villages wishing to evaluate the suitability of an ongoing weekly or fortnightly Tai Chi program for their residents.

Complimentary trial sessions are strictly limited to one (1) session per village location for new clients only and are subject to instructor availability.

Trial sessions are limited to a maximum of 15 participants to ensure a safe, personalised introductory experience.

Complimentary trial sessions are not available for:

  • feature events;

  • open days;

  • community expos;

  • wellness fairs;

  • resident celebrations;

  • one-off recreational activities; or

  • any other standalone event not intended to lead to an ongoing program.

Villages wishing to book a one-off session, special event, or larger group session are welcome to do so at our standard One-Off / Casual Workshop rate of $250 per session.

Radiant Studios reserves the right to decline or withdraw a complimentary trial where it reasonably believes the offer is being used for purposes outside the intent of this policy.

Complimentary trial sessions hold no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for credit.

7. Service Area

Radiant Studios primarily services Brisbane's south side, Logan, Redlands and surrounding suburbs, extending north to Chermside. Bookings outside Radiant Studios’ standard service area may be available by arrangement and may incur additional travel fees.

8. Photography and Videography

From time to time, Radiant Studios may wish to capture photographs or video recordings during sessions or workshops for promotional and marketing purposes, including our website, social media channels and promotional materials. Photography or videography will only be undertaken with the permission of the venue and with the consent of any identifiable participants (or their authorised representative where applicable). Participants who do not consent will not be intentionally photographed or recorded.

9. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, logos, photographs and written materials remain the intellectual property of Radiant Studios unless otherwise stated and may not be reproduced without written permission.

10. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
